STEADY HANDS | Exodus 17:8-16

Read: Exodus 17:8-16

“But Moses’ hands became heavy, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hit supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” (Exodus 17:12)

She Moses held up his hands in prayer, Israel prevailed in the battle, however, when he lowered them, the enemy “Amalek,” prevailed.

These are days when as never before our hands need to be steady in prayer; steady in the meditation of His word; steady in witness; steady in separation from the world; steady in secret faithfulness when only His eyes are upon us; and steady when under severe attacks of temptation.

The enemy is ever at alert to throw us down, and it is often when we think we are strong that the most subtle attack can come.

O beloved! Take care! Watch and pray! Lift up the hands in prayer again and come close to the Lord today.

May He keep our hands “STEADY UNTIL THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN”; then what joy to look on the lovely face of Jesus Christ in the morning!

Faithful I’ll be to the Saviour I adore,
Others may leave Thee, but I’ll Thee more,
Faithful I’ll be to the Saviour I adore,
Fill with Thy Spirit this life evermore.

Yours in the Lord’s Vineyard. (Dojeh James Edijalive.)
