“As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I pray and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17)
Here lies the great secret of victorious living. If only the people of God would “pray and cry aloud” in the evening and morning, and at noon” what wonderful things might happen.
All of our failure should be traced back to our neglect of the place of prayer. Oh, that the evening, the morning, and the noon might be transformed by His Presence!
Let us remember afresh that no matter what experience in Grace we may profess, me neglect the Throne of the Heavenly Grace at our peril.
Let us, therefore, with His help, get back to the blessed habit of lifting our hearts to Him at all times, but especially concentrating upon the “evening, and morning and at noon.” Great victories await us if we do.
Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,
That calls me from a world of care:
And bids me at my Father’s Throne,
Make all my wants and wishes known.
Yours in the Lord’s Vineyard (Dojeh James Edijalive).
