“PLEAD WITH THEM EARNESTLY” | Jude, verses 17-23

Read: Jude, verses 17-23
“And others with fear, pulling them out of the fire.” (Jude 23)
In other to bring soul to the Saviour Jesus Christ, it is necessary to be faithful to them and to warn them in a loving but definite way of their terrible danger. If they do not fully appreciate this, how are they to be saved?
This was brought home to Charles Simeon of Cambridge when he was summoned to the death-bed of his own brother. The dying man said, “You never warned me of my danger.”
“Nay, my good brother, I often alluded to it in my letters,” said Charles.
“Yes,” replied the other, “but that was not enough. You never came to me, told me that I was unconverted, and that if I die in that state I would be lost. Now, I am dying, and but for God’s grace in reaching me by other means, I would have been forever lost!”
Dear Beloved friend, is there someone to whom you should go and be faithful? Go now, before the soul passes beyond your reach forever.
Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive:
Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently,
He will forgive if they only believe.
Yours in the Lord’s Vineyard (DOJEH, James).
