FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT | Ephesians 5:15-20

Read: Ephesians 5:15-20

“Be filled with the Spirit.” (Ephesians 5:18).

A Christian lady listened intently to the evangelist as he preached the Gospel. Sitting beside her was her husband, unconverted, and for whom she had a great burden. As the service continued, the preacher appealed to the professing Christians present to give themselves wholly and entirely over to the Lord Jesus that their friends and loved ones mighty be saved. Suddenly, the lady realized that the Lord was asking this from her that her husband might find the Saviour.

That evening, quietly but definitely before God, she made her surrender, yielding herself completely over to the claims of the Holy Spirit, and trusting the Lord for fullness of blessing. To her utter amazement and delight, a few days later her loved one was gloriously converted.

See the brazen hosts of Hell,
Art and power employing;
More than human tongue can tell,
Blood-bought souls destroying.
Hark! from ruins ghastly road,
Victims groan beneath their load;
Forward, O Ye sons of God,
And dare or die for Jesus.

Yours in the Lords Vineyard (Dojeh, James Edijalive).
